The island city of Singapore is home to many new hotels and serviced apartments. This year, a couple of hotels have already opened while others are scheduled to open after construction delays. We researched some of these new hotels and picked out a few to help you decide where to stay the next time you visit Singapore or if you are a local and are planning your next staycation. There are a few other hotels still being built or in the pipeline. When we are able to get confirmation of when they are going to open, we will be updating this article.

Andaz Singapore
The new Andaz Singapore is set to open in September 2017 offering 342 guest rooms, including 26 luxury suites; residential-style event venues with floor-to-ceiling windows and loft kitchens; the only rooftop bar in downtown with 360-degree views; and a street-dining-in-the-sky food and beverage concept at Alley on 25. Guests will enjoy complimentary local calls, in-room minibar with non-alcoholic beverages and local snacks, 24 hour-fitness centre on level 38, an outdoor pool on level 25. Guests can get to Bugis MRT station via a direct underpass from the hotel.
Andaz Singapore is a boutique-inspired lifestyle hotel housed in Duo, a 39-storey newly built mixed-development complex sandwiched in the vibrant district of Kampong Glam and Bugis. The guest rooms were designed by iconic Hong Kong interior designer Andre Fu who has also designed the interiors of The Upper House hotel in Hong Kong and the Opus Suite at The Berkeley in London.

Ascott Orchard Singapore
Recently opened, Ascott Orchard Singapore, the new 220-suite service apartment is offering opening specials from S$308++. There are five different accommodation categories at the Cairnhill Road property located in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore’s shopping district. The entry level room is the 60 sqm one-bedroom Executive Suite which is priced from S$308++ per night. The 60 sqm one-bedroom Premier Suite is priced from S$336++, the 30 sqm Murano Suite (studio) is priced from S$588++ per night, the 60 sqm one-bedroom Pierre Suite is priced from S$728++ per night and the 80sqm two-bedroom Soho Suite is priced from S$1092++ per night.
Opening specials rate comes with complimentary internet, free use of handy smartphone service, utilities and daily housekeeping service except for Sundays and Public Holidays. Ascott Orchard Singapore is linked to Paragon Shopping Mall through a covered bridge and is part of CapitaLand’s landmark integrated development that also comprises a high-end residential development.

Courtyard by Marriott Novena
The 250-room Courtyard by Marriott Novena is scheduled to soft open mid-August next to Novena Square. The first Courtyard by Marriott property in Singapore is developed by Hoi Hup Sunway Novena Pte Ltd. The hotel rooms in levels 22 to 33 will be housed within Royal Square at Novena, a 33-storey mixed-use development located conveniently next to Square 2 and Novena Square malls, Novena MRT station as well as medical facilities.
Royal Square at Novena will also have two levels of retail and F&B outlets.
Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena is located at 99 Irrawaddy Road, Singapore
Destination Singapore Beach Road
Previously the Premier Inn hotel, the newly constructed hotel has changed hands within the year under the Park Hotel Group’s Destination Singapore Beach Road. Premier Inn made its debut in Singapore between Golden Mile Complex and Golden Mile Tower on 1 August 2016. The 15-storey building houses 300 18 to 24sqm standard rooms. Amenities at the no frills hotel include all day dining restaurant, fitness centre, swimming pool and meeting rooms and also complimentary wi-fi.
The change of management companies to the no frills Destination brand features Queen, Twin, Triple and Family Rooms. Accessible rooms are also available. Queen and Twin rooms start from S$140++ per night, while the Triple Room which can accommodate up to three adults starts from S$160++ per night and the Family Room which accommodates up to two adults and two children 12 and under from S$180++ per night. Accessible Rooms are available from S$127++ per night.

Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon
The 16 storey-high Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon is opening 1 June 2017 with 328 modern rooms in Little India. Bookings are not accepted online from 1 June onwards. Available room types include King / Twin Guest Room, King / Twin Deluxe Room, King / Twin Deluxe Room City View and King / Twin Deluxe Room with Balcony. Flexible rates start from S$200 while Honors Discount advance purchase starts from S$137++. Book early and stay in a King Deluxe Room with Balcony for S$171++. This room category is located on level 16 and offers city views, complimentary Wi-Fi, a seating area and fridge. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness centre and self-service coin laundry.
Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon is located at 3 Belilios Road, Singapore 219924. It is a six-minute walk away from Little India MRT station.
Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay
Singapore’s second Intercontinental-branded hotel opens Q3 2017. The hotel is currently undergoing its finishing touches inside the building which has almost completed construction. Located at Robertson Quay, the hotel is located amidst an enclave of wine and dine outlets.
We randomly picked 16 September 2017 for a night to check out the available rates. IHG Rewards Club advanced purchase rates starts from S$423.23++ or 50,000 points for a Studio King room. With breakfast, the IHG Rewards Club Weekend rate for the room is advertised at S$456.48++ and S$480.50++ for non-members.
Deluxe Studio King rooms start from S$465.98++. The 29sqm room features a Bose sound bar, high-speed internet and Nespresso Coffee machine. From S$662.63++, you can check into a Club Intercontinental Studio that comes with access to the Club InterContinental lounge.
Membership to IHG Rewards Club comes with lower rates, so it only makes sense to be a member and it doesn’t cost you a cent.

Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore
Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore, the new 268-unit luxury serviced apartment located at OUE Downtown in the heart of the Central Business District is expected to open 15 June 2017. Opening specials offering 20% off Best Available Rates are available for stays from 15 June to 14 September 2017. Rates start from S$297 with a minimum seven-night stay and come with complimentary breakfast and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. The 28 to 32 sqm Studio Apartment is available for S$296.52++ per night while the 30 to 58sqm one-bedroom apartment is available at S$337.60++ per night and the 70 to 98 sqm two-bedroom apartment is available from S$461.34++ per night.
Advance purchase rates from S$315 for the Studio Apartment are available for stays from 18 September. The one-bedroom apartment is available at S$358.70++ per night while the two-bedroom apartment is available for S$490.17++ per night.
OUE Downtown is the new work-play-live destination that is also set to debut mid this year with residential, retail and leisure facilities. Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore is within walking distance to Raffles Place and Tanjong Pagar MRT stations.
Of the 268 furnished units, there is a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The one- and two-bedroom apartments are equipped with kitchen and fitted out with a washer/dryer. Other facilities here include Se7enth, a 74-seater restaurant; a 24-hour fitness centre; an outdoor infinity pool with dining options; a Residents’ lounge’ The Oakwood Executive Club; Boardroom with meeting facilities; a contemporary lobby bar and an outdoor barbeque.

Oakwood Studios Singapore
Oakwood Studios Singapore officially opened this year in March making it the world’s first Oakwood Studios property. This property is developed for individuals with a millennial mindset. The property was also awarded the Best Interior Design at the Serviced Apartment Awards 2017 which is judged by a panel of industry experts and recognises excellence across various categories in the international serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay and short-term rental industry.
There are 98 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments at Oakwood Studios Singapore.

Park Hotel Farrer Park
The 300-room Park Hotel Farrer Park opened 15 May 2017 atop Farrer Park MRT Station. The hotel features a club lounge, swimming pool and fitness centre. The guest rooms and lofts overlook the Singapore skyline from levels nine to 20. The five room categories here include the Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Crystal Club Room, Sky Loft and Premier Loft (pictured above).
Room Only Hot Deal rates of 20% off Best Flexible Rate are priced from S$184++. There is also an Opening Special rate of S$188++ which comes with breakfast and late checkout.

Sofitel Singapore City Centre
Sofitel Singapore City Centre will be Singapore’s third Sofitel branded property when it opens in July 2017, joining Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa and Sofitel So Singapore. Sofitel Singapore City Centre is opening in July 2017 as indicated in Sofitel.com. Bookings for the hotel is available from September 2017 onwards.
We checked the rates for a night on 16 September 2017. The 38 sqm one king sized bed luxury room starts from $400++ and comes with complimentary breakfast. The Luxury Premium Room is priced from S$520++ (super advance saver) and features complimentary privileges including continental breakfast, minibar, two pieces of laundry, transportation pass, Wi-Fi and exclusive access to Virgin Active. And if 38 sqm is too small for you, then go for the Prestige Suite which comes with Club Millesime Access and access to Virgin Active. The 76 sqm suite also features a minibar, WiFi, Sofitel MyBed, 55″ Smart TVs, Bose Entertainment System and Hermès amenities. A night at the Prestige Suite starts from S$830++. The hotel will also feature opulent luxury clubs and the magnificent Joaquim Suite and the pricing for this will be made available soon.

The Warehouse Hotel
The Warehouse Hotel Singapore opened 1 January 2017 at what used to be the Warehouse Disco in 1986. The two storey converted warehouse features 37 well-appointed rooms in six room categories. The boutique hotel is managed by the Lo & Behold Group. The rooms are equipped with high-speed wi-fi, Bang & Olufen Bluetooth speakers, Ashley & Co. bath amenities from New Zealand and a fully stocked minibar.
