Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena Opens 1 November 2017

Singapore’s first Courtyard by Marriott property is ready to accept hotel guests on 1 November 2017. With 25 rooms per level from level 22 to 32 of the Royal Square at Novena mixed-use development, Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena’s rooms are all 22 sqm with two types of views – City vs Garden.

The hotel is centrally located close to Health City Novena, for overseas visitors who are coming to Singapore for medical tourism. The hotel is also connected to Square 2, Velocity, Novena Square as well as the Novena MRT station. It is just two MRT train stops away from Orchard Station which is the beginning of Singapore’s Orchard shopping belt.

Located opposite the hotel is the newly renovated and opened Novena Catholic Church of St. Alphonsus. My favourite haunt in the area is located just next to the hotel at Square 2 mall where you can get local favourites such as dry laksa, dry mee siam, heng hua noodle soup and a couple of other noodle dishes at NOW Noodles.

The lobby is located on level 22. This is where you check in and also get your grab and go coffee and cakes throughout the day. Also located on the same level are two small meeting rooms.

Sky 22 on level 22 serves healthy, wholesome culinary creations and distinctive Singaporean fare. For lunch, Build-Your-Own-Bowl is priced at S$16++, Salad Semi Buffet at S$28++ and Buffet at S$38++. Daily dinner buffets are priced at S$48++.

Sky 22 offers daily buffet breakfast with live stations offering authentic local specialties like Roti Prata, Nasi Lemak or Western classics such as omelettes and pastries.

There are five room categories including Deluxe, Deluxe Greenery, Premier Skyline, Executive and Executive Skyline view. They are all 22 sqm and differ by views as well as amenities. Executive rooms come with additional Nespresso machine and capsules. Effective use of space with floor to ceiling glass windows offer views giving the rooms a more spacious feel. All rooms come with standard standing showers with rain bath, toilet bowl with washing hose bidets and wash basin. Guests get a good night’s rest on the Serta mattress.

Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum members as well guests from the 33 Executive rooms will enjoy access to the Executive Lounge on the rooftop at level 33. Here guests enjoy complimentary breakfast from 6.30 to 10.30am, complimentary cocktails and other selected drinks from 5 to 7 pm, all day light refreshments and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Enjoy signature classic drinks such as the Mojito (S$19++), Moscow Mule (S$17++), Watermelon Man (S$18++), Vesper Martini (S$18++), Tequila Sunrise (S$17++) or Rum and Coke (S$17++). Bite sized pointers are also avaiakbel from 7pm.

Level 33 is also where the infinity pool is located. The pool is 20 m long and 1.5 m deep. The 24-hour fitness centre is well equipped or you could just take a walk in the neighbourhood and explore what there is to offer. There’s Balestier Road which has lots of cultural sights as well as food options.

Bookings for rooms have been available since late last month and the hotel is expecting a quite a number of guests on opening day.
