U by UNIWORLD Cruises for 21 to 45 Year Olds Launching April 2018

 

UNIWORLD Boutique River Cruise Collection by The Travel Corporation has been catering to the discerning traveller who prefer all-inclusive fuss-free travels. Enjoy the river bank views with these much more intimate smaller capacity ships opposed to open sea cruises that most of us are used to in Singapore.

U by UNIWORLD, a new river cruise brand of Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, will be launching in April 2018 with nine European itineraries for individuals 21 to 45 years old. Yes millennials and younger passengers, this is for you! U by Uniworld offers fun, immersive, authentic and adventurous itineraries and a seamless way to experience Europe from city to city. Each itinerary spans seven nights which is perfect for the young professional traveller who has less vacation time.

Two U by Uniworld Ships that can take a maximum of 120 travellers per ship will be painted black outside and feature a sleek, cool interior design with open communal spaces and rooftop lounges. These ships will be called The A and The B and will serve as a 7-in-one fully-equipped waterfront contemporary hotel, taxi, bar, restaurant, café, nightclub and yoga studio. There is no need to unpack more than once since you sleep onboard while travelling to multiple cities and countries. Three room categories with river views – Suites, Balcony and Studio are available on board both ships. For solo travellers, there are special room share rates if they agree to share a twin room with another like-minded traveller of the same gender where they will pay the same daily, double occupancy, per person rate without extra surcharge.

The B made its debut in Paris in the first week of October along France’s Seine River where supermodel and philanthropist Petra Nemcova, the ship’s “guardian angel” joined social influencers, journalists, travel agents and contest winners. The B was Uniworld’s River Baroness ship and has been renamed following a major retrofitting. There are four suites, 26 balcony staterooms, 29 studio staterooms and two studios that can accommodate up to three people each.


Guests can expect a more online approach doing away with traditional daily paper itineraries. These will be sent via Whatsapp or email. Menus are displayed on screens in the dining areas, and news can be read through a Press Reader app. A new U by Uniworld app will be available in March next year allowing travellers to connect before, during and after their trips.

Onboard activities include Wine & Paint classes, Mixology classes, Chef’s Table cooking classes as well as nighttime entertainment with DJs on board. Onshore experiences are designed for those passionate in exploring and authentic experiences. Ample time will be given to meet locals, discover restaurants and bars in each city as well as enjoy both independent discovery and guided excursions.
