ONYX Hospitality Group, a Thai hotel management company of Italthai Group, currently operates several hotels in Malaysia, including Amari Johor Bahru, OZO Georgetown Penang, Amari SPICE Penang, and Amari Kuala Lumpur. The company is dedicated to strategic expansion and is set to augment its Malaysia portfolio with three new properties in 2024. The additions, namely OZO Medini, Shama Medini, and Shama Suasana Johor Bahru, will bring the total number of properties in Malaysia to seven by the end of 2024. This expansion will showcase all three ONYX brands – Amari, OZO, and Shama – within the Malaysian market.
