lyf Funan Singapore, Ascott’s Newest Coliving Brand Makes Debut

The world’s first lyf co-living property managed by millennial lyf Guards for millennials and millennial-minded opened its doors on 1 September 2019. lyf Funan is an integral part of CapitaLand’s new Funan Centre mall and its two office blocks that opened not so many months before.

It spans about 121,000 square feet in gross floor area with 412 rooms across 279 apartments in a nine-storey co-living property. Rooms range from 18 sqm to 105 sqm to accommodate single, dual or group bookings. Room rates start from S$150++.

Currently, around 50% of the room inventories are open. The rest of the rooms are expected to open by 1 October 2019.

There is sheltered underground access to the City Hall MRT interchange and Raffles City mall and walking distance to Capitol Piazza mall or a short walk to Clarke Quay’s food and drink nightlife.

lyf Funan Centre welcomes long and short-stay guests. Categories of rooms include:

• 18sqm One of a Kind studio unit with an entire bathroom for individuals and couples who enjoy their own space
• 43sqm Two of a Kind featuring two private rooms with a shared kitchenette
• 18sqm lyf Style, a gaming-themed studio unit equipped with a PlayStation console, ensuite bathroom and a pull-down sofa bed
• 18sqm Up & Down apartments which feature bunk beds
• 41 sqm to 105 sqm All Together apartments with two to six rooms and a shared kitchen, a Samsung Flip interactive smart screen to facilitate discussions, as well as a large table that doubles up as a workspace and dining area.

Public Spaces at lyf Funan Singapore

Guests can expect Instagrammable ‘Connect’ social zones including coworking spaces and activities such as hackathons, innovation talks, music jamming sessions, cooking sessions, or workshops with artisans.

The ‘Bond’ social kitchen is a place for guests to prepare home-cooked meals, take cooking classes and socialise while learning more about global cuisines from other guests.

Work out and have fun with quirky design and interactive elements such as a giant ball pit, a giant-sized Connect Four set and the ‘Burn’ social gymnasium with a human-sized hamster wheel.

The Wash & Hang laundromat allows guests to strike up new conversations while waiting for laundry to be done.
