Asia’s first YOTELAIR has opened at landside in Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore on 12 April 2019. The entrance to the 5,200 sqm hotel is located at level four, Lobby H next to the Changi Experience Studio which will open later this year.
You can get to YOTELAIR Jewel Changi Airport via a skybridge from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. If you are coming from Terminal 4, take the complimentary shuttle service to Jewel Changi Airport
Jewel Changi Airport is the talk of the town these days with its recent public preview on 11 April ahead of the lifestyle complex’s opening on 17 April 2019. It houses the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and a four storey forest with over 2,500 trees and 100,000 shrubs as well as 280 retail and F&B outlets throughout the 10 storey complex
YOTELAIR is YOTEL’s brand of airport hotels. Today, there are six airport hotels in London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle, the new Istanbul Airport and Jewel Changi Airport. There are also five city centre hotels in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Singapore.
The 130 windowless rooms here comprises three cabin categories Premium Queen, Premium Queen (ADA accessible) and Family.
For the launch period from 12 April to 31 July 2019, stays at YOTELAIR start from S$140++ per night. Day let stays are available from S$80++ for a four-hour stay and S$25++ for every subsequent 2-hour blocks up to eight hours.
Step into YOTELAIR Changi and you arrive in the Mission Control where you check in and check out.
Checking in at any Yotel branded property is always such a breeze. The self service check in booths are easy to operate and in no time you will be in your room.
If you are not so technologically-inclined, there are also manned counters at Mission Control where someone will help you check in or check out.
Unfortunately, there is no baggage storage at Mission Control. Baggage storage is available for a fee at level one next to the Early Check-In counters or in all the airport terminals.
Premium Queen Cabin
The Premium Queen Cabin make up the category with the most rooms at YOTELAIR. There are 124 of such rooms with a limited space of 10sqm. All the rooms at YOTELAIR are lit in Yotel’s signature purple lighting. Whilst the confined space is cleverly utilised, the room accommodates up to two people. Though I would say the room is better suited for one if you are one who enjoys more space.
We understand that one hand or cabin-sized luggage bag can be neatly stowed under the bed.
Cabins are furnished with Samsung SMART TVs, complimentary high-speed WiFi, space-saving SmartBeds that are adjusted electronically, adjustable mood lighting, rain showers and body and hair shower amenities from Urban Skincare Co., toothbrush and toothpaste dental kit, hairdryer, towels and multiple power points.
The Neaya TV system software helps guests navigate the television and stream content quickly from their own devices. This system also allows the hotel to send tailor made messages to guests and inform them of any ongoing promotions.
The 21 sqm Family Cabin can accommodate up to four people. There are only four such rooms here.
Family Cabins feature a queen bed and a double-decker single bed offering comfortable accommodation for family members or friends.
However, privacy curtains for the bathroom are located inside the room and not in the bathroom. H
Premium Queen (Accessible Room)
YOTELAIR has two accessible Premium Queen cabins which are 21 sqm for guests who require accessibility rooms.
If you just need a shower to refresh or a gym to work out in without requiring a room to stay in, there are three shower cabins available. This service will be introduced at a later date not disclosed yet.
Bath amenities are provided. The Awaken Hair Wash, Intense Conditioner, Daily Hand and Body Cleanser and Repair Body Balm supplied are from Urban Skincare Co’s Cityscape White range. They are specifically developed to shield skin and hair from harmful UV radiation and environmental pollutants while providing nutrients, trace elements and minerals essential for the skin and hair.
For S$20++ per person, you have the shower cabins for up to an hour. For S$30++, you have the shower cabins for two people for up to an hour.
There are plans to provide non-staying guests access to the shower and the 24/7 gym at a nominal fee.
A 24/7 Gym
The gym is open throughout the day every day. So you can work out those sore muscles from travelling.
