Where Else to Stay in Kuala Lumpur this September?

Else is launching its 49-room inaugural property on 10 September 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Else Kuala Lumpur is located in the former Lee Rubber Building in the heart of Chinatown, providing respite from the bustle of city life.

Else Founders Justin Chen and Javier Perez commissioned leading local designers, artists and partners to create their vision of conscious hospitality. Malaysian design firm Studio Bikin conceptualised the design and oversaw the restoration which was executed by Faizah Architect, another celebrated Malaysian partner.

The repurposed seven-storey property is 56,000 square feet. The boutique hotel features four categories of rooms. The standard entry-level room is the 25 sqm Mantra Room with a King-sized bed and luxurious en-suite bathroom. The Urban Room (deluxe) is a 33sqm elegantly appointed room with seating area.

The Sanctuary is located on the upper floors and furnished with a Super King-sized bed and a private balcony. Sutera is a 69sqm suite complete with a private living area that can accommodate an extended family. The largest of the rooms is the 84sqm Else Suite with sweeping views of Kuala Lumpur city skyline and a private balcony stretching from the bedroom to the living area.
