Cathay Pacific recently signed a cooperation agreement with Lufthansa Group. Cathay Pacific will codeshare on flights operated by Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines to a number of destinations in continental Europe. Lufthansa Group will codeshare on Cathay Pacific to four Southwest Pacific destinations, Auckland, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney.

The destinations served by Lufthansa are between Frankfurt and Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Dresden, Hannover, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Oslo and Stuttgart. SWISS flights are between Zurich and Berlin, Brussels, Florence, Geneva, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Venice. Austrian Airlines destinations are between Viena and Frankfurt, Zurich and Düsseldorf.

Members of Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles and Lufthansa Group’s Miles and More loyalty programmes will be eligible to earn and redeem miles when travelling on the codeshare routes. This partnership increases the number of airline partners of Asia Miles to 28.

Tickets for the new codeshare destinations go on sale from 5 April 2017 for travel commencing from 26 April 2017.
