Three Cities to Shop At This Summer

Summer is here and so is shopping season. Check out three international shopping festivals from now till August including the Istanbul Shopping Festival 2017, the Thailand Shopping and Dining Paradise as well as the Great Singapore Sale.

The seventh Istanbul Shopping Fest is happening from 1 to 16 July 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey. This year’s festival duration has reduced by half compared to last year’s edition. Istanbul is a melting pot of oriental essence and Western dynamism and has something to offer everyone. Enjoy discounts and offers on plenty of brands during the Shopping Fest. Join surprise raffle giveaways. There will also be concerts, competitions and fashion shows at central spots around the city and not just in shopping centres.





There are eight participating shopping malls including Akasya in Acibadem at the Üsküdar part of Istanbul, Forum Istanbul in Bayrampasa, IstinyePark, Kanyon, Palladium in Anatolia and Zorlu Centre.

You’ll also want to visit one of the seven streets around the city. Bağdat Street, in the heart of the city, is 9km long, one of Istanbul’s longest street. Divan Yolu Street lies between Sultanahmet Square and Beyazit Square and resembles an open-air museum. Both sides of the street are filled with tourist shops, historical structures, lodges, mosques, madrasas and museums.  Check out the Cemberlitas Colum and mausoleums of the Sultans when you are here. İstiklal Caddesi, Street, or Cadde-i Kebir, is crowded every hour of the day where you can find passages of cheap stores selling brands from all over the world. Look out for the nostalgic tram, the Markiz Patisserie, Odakule, Suriye Passage, Terkos Çıkmazı, Aznavur, Krepen, Hacopulo and Çiçek Passages, Galatasaray High School, the mosque, cinema, churches and much more. Nisbetiye Street has entertainment venues in every corner and is famous for its world-renowned brands, parks and nightlife. Here you can also dine if world-famous restaurants such as P.F. Changs, Eataly and Wagamama. Ordu Street is where Istanbul’s important tramway road is. It is also where you can find the first Turkish university, Istanbul University, and Sultan Selim III’s mausoleum. Ordu Street is a great place to find textile. Osmanbey Street is frequented by domestic and foreign wholesalers. The retailers here will offer discounts and wholesale prices for a weekend. Valikonağı Street is one of the best places to enjoy the day and night in Istanbul with restaurants and stores of world famous brands.

Singapore Airlines and Turkish Airlines operate nonstop flights between Singapore and Istanbul. Both airlines are under Star Alliance and operate the flights under 13 hours. Turkish Airlines operate daily flights while Singapore Airlines flights depart every day except Tuesday and Thursday.

 

 

The Thailand Shopping and Dining Paradise

Thailand’s Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Campaign returns in 2017 as the ‘Thailand Shopping and Dining Paradise 2017” from 1 June to 31 July 2017 in cities nationwide. Partners and participating outlets will be offering special promotions and discounts for shopping, dining, entertaining and travelling within Thailand.

From 1 June to 16 July 2017, 66 branches of Central Shopping Centres in Thailand will be offering discounts of up to 80% on fashion and lifestyle items, dining, home appliances, sports equipment, stationery, office supplies and more as part of Thailand Shopping and Dining Paradise 2017. Participating shopping centres include the more popular ones such as CentralWorld in Bangkok, CentralPlaza and CentralFestival, Central Department Store, Zen, Robinson etc in major cities such as Phuket, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Samui as well as via Central Online. The Central Group has 66 branches nationwide and over 10,000 product brands.

 

 

Great Singapore Sale 2017

Happening from 9 June to 13 August 2017, this year’s Great Singapore Sale will feature shopping, dining  & hotels and attraction offers for everyone.
