Katy Perry will perform at the christening ceremony of Norwegian Cruise Line‘s latest ship, Norwegian Prima in Reykjavik, Iceland on 27 August 2022. The world-famous pop icon and ‘American Idol’ judge Katy Perry will serve as the godmother to this new ship debuting August 2022. She is currently performing her Las Vegas residency, PLAY.
Perry will fulfil the longstanding maritime tradition of blessing and officially naming Norwegian Prima, the first of six vessels in the Prima Class. She will also perform during the christening ceremony before it sets sail on its inaugural voyages from Reykjavik, Iceland. Norwegian Cruise Line has also specially curated a celebratory Spotify playlist.
Guests on board the Norwegian Prima can escape to Ocean Boulevard to soak in multiple infinity pools as well as Oceanwalk glass bridges with breathtaking ocean and destination views. The ship’s revamped centralised suite complex is designed by the master architects at Piero Lissoni. The Haven by Norwegian features 107 staterooms spanning eight decks with a new infinity pool overlooking the ship’s wake and an outdoor spa with a glass-walled sauna and cold room.
