We stopped by Ipoh for some food in 2017 before heading to Penang. Penang is a 2-hour drive from Ipoh. AirAsia also operates four times daily flights between Penang and Singapore. Why not fly into Ipoh for a few days and then spend a couple of days in Penang and fly back to Singapore from Penang.
