Inside Malaysia Airlines First Class Amenity Kits

Malaysia Airlines launched a new set of amenity kits for its first class customers in January this year, taking a dual-brand approach for its new kits featuring Payot skincare products as well as a small bottle of Cerruti eau de toilette. The men’s and women’s kits are part of a gift collection from the airline which also comes with a sporty sleeper suit (pyjamas) designed in midnight blue with red trimmings and accents and a pullover top with a red zipper and accessories.

I have reviewed and seen so many amenity kits from different airlines, but this is a first time I am seeing a keychain packed inside an amenity kit. Not sure if it would be of any use. I would think a leather luggage tag or a TSA lock would have been more practical.

The splash-proof amenity kit bag is cobranded Cerruti 1881 and Malaysia Airlines. The inside of the women’s amenity pouch is lined with red cloth and “Exclusively for Malaysia Airlines” tagged across. A gold chain on one side of the bag lets you hang it with your cosmetics when you travel.

Malaysia Airlines has joined the ranks of world-class airlines who give their first class customers a full bottle of perfume including Singapore Airlines and Emirates. The current First Class amenity kits from these three airlines are supplied by FORMIA. FORMIA offers the travel industry quality bespoke amenity kits, bags, cosmetics and comfort items as well as tailor-made in-flight service concepts over the past three decades.

French skincare brand Payot products in the kit include a lip balm, moisturiser and firming treatment. These three travel-size items come in a black drawstring cloth pouch with the Payot brand emblazoned across.

The men’s amenity kit is housed in a handsome pouch that comes in two colours – black or navy blue. The pouch makes a great overnight toiletries bag or even a clutch. The zipper on both the men’s and women’s kits are embossed with Malaysia Airlines’ logo.
