Etihad Airways‘ Flying Nanny programme has been popular with parents travelling with their children. Launched in September 2013, these Flying Nannies entertain the children so their parents can have more personal time. A Flying Nanny Kit was launched in September 2016 as part of a new range of ‘Etihad Explorers’ children’s activity packs.
The kit contains items such as Origami, games, pom-poms, flight certificates, tools for magic tricks and face-painting, as well as a ‘Flying Nanny stamp of approval’ which the nanny can use to reward children during their in-flight activities.
The Abu Dhabi-headquartered airline celebrated the graduation of its 2000th Flying Nanny, Isabel Moya Guzman. Norland, a respected UK-based higher education college which specialises in ‘early years’ education, has developed a bespoke training programme just for Etihad Airways.
