Marina Mandarin Singapore will be rebranded to PARKROYAL on Marina Bay from 1 January 2020.
On 23 August 2019, UOL Group Limited announced the signing of Hotel Management Agreement between Pan Pacific Hospitality Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary and Aquamarine Hotel Private Limited, a subsidiary of United Industrial Corporation Limited (UIC) to operate the hotel currently known as Marina Mandarin Singapore.
The rebranding is the result of the acquisition of additional shares in Marina Centre Holdings Private Limited (MCH) and AHPL by UOL’s subsidiary UIC and MCH respectively in April this year.
UOL and UIC now have full control of Marina Square shopping mall, the 575-room Marina Mandarin Singapore, and the 790-room Pan Pacific Singapore.
PARKROYAL on Marina Bay will be refurbished with a nature-inspired look similar to PARKROYAL on Pickering. It will have over 4,700 sqm of shared event space with the neighbouring Pan Pacific Singapore.
The addition of PARKROYAL on Marina Bay will increase the number of rooms owned and managed to 3,000 across nine hotels and serviced suites in Singapore.
Refurbishment of the guest rooms and public spaces are underway for the 532-room PARKROYAL on Kitchener Room to provide updated and relevant experience for its guests and patrons. PARKROYAL on Beach Road has recently refreshed its guest rooms and is currently improving the landscape, arrival experience and food & beverage offerings to inject a fresh energy relevant to the world we live in today. The previously 206-key Pan Pacific Orchard is being redeveloped to a 350-key hotel and is expected to open in 2021.
UOL currently owns or manages over 30 hotels with about 10,000 rooms in Asia, Oceania and North America. UOL is a public-listed property company with total assets of about S$20 billion. It has a diversified portfolio of development and investment properties, hotels and serviced suites.
