The folks at SO Sofitel Hua Hin have gotten new uniforms and they are eye-catching. So pleasing to the eyes just looking at these photos. Makes me want to head down to SO Sofitel Hua Hin just to see these uniforms in person. Or perhaps even work here?
This 20-piece ASAVA-designed uniform collection by Thai fashion designer Polpat Asavaprapha, founder and creator of ASAVA, is an extension of the resort’s Imaginative Escape concept. Inspiration was drawn from the destination Hua Hin, being a Thai beach resort getaway of choice for many since the 1970s and 1980s.
“What was important in the design of the SO Sofitel Hua Hin uniform was that it had to be stylish and at the same time feature elements of fun and playfulness, and most importantly, to be comfortable and casual,” says Polpat Asavaprapha, whose ASAVA brand is renowned for reinterpreting classic styles for the modern woman.
“By combining contrasting designs one can create playfulness that is classy, timeless, elegant, and very ASAVA,” says Asavaprapha, who prior to creating his own brand worked for names such as Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi and Max Mara, and serves as President of the Bangkok Fashion Society.
The new uniforms combine ASAVA’s signature timeless silhouette with designs and details. The classical structure may seem to be in conflict with the classical structure. However, they render charm and beauty to the uniform with floral elements added to the stripes and bright colours.
Guests can also purchase a range of SO Hua Hin x ASAVA souvenirs such as Kaftans, dresses and tote bags at the resort’s boutique.
