TransNusa becomes first Indonesian Airline to offer Jakarta – Subang International Flight from 1 August 2024

TransNusa, a premium service carrier based in Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, has gotten approval from the Malaysian Aviation Commission to operate between Jakarta and Subang International Airport. With just two Airbus A320s and one Comac ARJ21-700, TransNusa introduced its first international route from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur on 14 April 2023. 14 months later, the airline was handpicked as one of the two foreign airlines to receive approval to start flights from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Airport, also known as Subang Airport in Malaysia.

At the initial stage, TransNusa will be operating one daily scheduled flight from Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Subang Airport. The flight, 8B 699, will depart Jakarta at 4.10 pm and arrive at the Subang Airport at 7.00 pm while TransNusa flight, 8B 698, will depart Subang Airport at 7.30 pm and arrive in Jakarta at 8.30 pm. TransNusa will be utilising its A320 narrow-body airliner, which has 174 seats, to cater for the two-hour scheduled flight, beginning August 1. The airline will continue to operate three scheduled daily flights to KLIA and four scheduled flights weekly to Johor Bahru.

Sales of tickets have started on 15 July 2024 starting from IDR999,000.

After launching its first international route between Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, TransNusa launched three more new international routes by the end of last year. This year, the airline celebrates its first year of operations in Kuala Lumpur and its first year of operations in three other international locations, including Johor (Malaysia), Singapore and Guangzhou (China). On the domestic front, the airline became the first in the world to offer a direct flight between Bali and Manado, launching the route in April this year.
