Singapore Airlines will be taking over SilkAir’s Busan flights from 28 October 2019 increasing seat capacity on the route by 76%, subject to regulatory approvals.
SilkAir launched the route on 1 May 2019 and demand for the flights have been encouraging according to Mr Tan Kai Ping, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Planning.
The four-times-weekly flights will be served with Singapore Airlines’ 285-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 30 Business Class seats and 255 Economy Class seats, accommodating 123 more passengers per flight than SilkAir’s 162-seat Boeing 737-800s.
