Fiji Airways is officially joining the oneworld alliance. Starting 1 April 2025, the South Pacific’s flag carrier becomes a full member of the global network. This means more perks and smoother journeys for frequent flyers. Think lounge access, priority check-in and boarding, and better mileage earning and redemption. Top-tier customers can access nearly 700 lounges worldwide. That includes new oneworld lounges in Amsterdam and Seoul.
From its hub in Nadi, Fiji Airways connects to 25 destinations in 14 countries. That includes major oneworld hubs like Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Fiji Link, the airline’s regional subsidiary, joins as an affiliate. This brings more domestic and South Pacific routes into the alliance fold.
“The introduction of Fiji Airways marks an important strategic step for our alliance as we connect even more people, places and experiences than ever before. Fiji Airways customers will benefit from oneworld’s global reach of more than 900 destinations, priority services and premium lounge access, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the oneworld family.”
Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld
The airline has also switched to American Airlines’ AAdvantage® as its frequent flyer programme. So travellers can now earn and use miles across the oneworld network.

Fiji Airways is known for its warm hospitality and service. It recently picked up multiple Skytrax 2024 awards, including Best Airline in Australia/Pacific. With a fleet of 23 aircraft, including A350-900s, Fiji Airways is ready for take-off as the latest addition to the oneworld family.
“Becoming a full member of the oneworld alliance is a proud and momentous milestone for Fiji Airways. This achievement reflects our commitment to providing world-class service and expanding our global reach, while showcasing the warmth and hospitality of Fiji to the world. As a full member, we are excited to offer our customers even greater benefits and seamless connectivity across the extensive oneworld network. We look forward to welcoming more oneworld customers onboard to experience the beauty of Fiji and the exceptional service of Fiji Airways.”
Andre Viljoen, Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways
