Pakistan’s Gerry’s Group joined hands with UAE-based dnata in July 1993 to provide ground handling services at Karachi Airport and has become Pakistan’s largest cargo and ground handling company operating at seven major airports in the country. dnata made its first international foray in airline catering in Singapore in 2004. In 2010, it acquired Alpha Flight Group and its close to 6,000 employees across 11 countries. dnata currently operates 63 catering facilities in 13 countries producing over 320,000 world-class meals every day.
It also provides in-flight retail for leading airlines and operates over 40 cafes, restaurants and lounges around the world. In Singapore, dnata provides Garuda Indonesia with the in-flight catering while Cathay Pacific engages dnata’s ground services including check-in and the ambassadors at the Cathay Pacific Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 4.

Last year dnata Singapore opened a new maintenance base at Singapore Changi Airport featuring 6,900 sqm located next to the dnata Cargo Centre within Changi Airport Airfreight Centre. The new maintenance base can handle an average of over 9,000 repairs and maintenance activities annually.
dnata’s travel division has also expanded to meet its customers’ needs. dnata travel operates 20 travel brands, offering comprehensive travel services for individuals, companies and the travel trade across 77 countries, booking over 21,000 hotel stays every day.
