Century Cruises appoints David Fredericks as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

David Fredericks has been named Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Century Cruises, effective 1 December 2024. As the company gears up for a strategic push into the North American market, Fredericks is set to play a vital role in driving growth and expanding its footprint in the region.

Backed by more than two decades of experience, Fredericks brings a wealth of expertise in sales, marketing, and business development. He’s known for his knack for spearheading transformative strategies that have boosted market engagement and supercharged sales across multiple cruise brands. His impressive career portfolio includes leadership roles at Carnival Corp., Viking Cruises, Online Vacation Center, Luxury Cruise Connections, Crystal Cruises, and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Development at Oasis Travel Network-Smartcruiser.com, where he drove multi-channel growth and business expansion.

With Century Cruises’ ambitious plans for North America, all eyes will be on Fredericks as he leads the charge in shaping the brand’s next chapter, where he will focus mainly on growing Century Cruises’ revenue through strategic travel partner relationships and creating confidence with future guests.

Century Cruises started sailing 30 years ago and has a fleet of six ships on the Yangtze River. It offers short downstream and upstream Yangtze cruise itineraries and a long 11/12 day cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai and vice versa. Century Cruise has been recognised as the best Asia River Cruise Company for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023. The company has also received the Travel Weekly Magellan Award for their first eco-friendly vessels on the Yangtze River.
