IHG Hotels & Resorts will open its second Kimpton property in Koh Samui. IHG partners NYE Estate and new partners Multiply Partners and Capstone Asset. The brand made its debut in October 2020 in Bangkok with Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok debuted the brand in South East Asia during late last year with 362 rooms and suites, including 131 serviced residences.

Kimpton Koh Samui will open on Choengmon Beach later this year with 138 rooms. The property features luxury pool villas with unique direct access to the beach. Two-thirds of the accommodation will be suites or villas and the vast majority of the hotel inventory offering spectacular views over the Gulf of Thailand.

This luxury boutique hotel will infuse local culture, textures and colours with every touchpoint of the guest experience and speak to the location’s story. Other amenities include four distinctive restaurants and bars as well as a pool, spa, fitness centre, Kid’s Club and a 124 sqm multi-purpose meetings and events space. Guests and their pets can expect a warm welcome and memorable stay.

Chaweng Beach, Fisherman’s Village walking Street and Koh Samui International Airport are just a short drive.

“When we researched and experienced the Kimpton brand we knew it was the ideal choice for our stunning luxury beachfront Koh Samui project. The positioning, the design, the accommodation mix and the importance of restaurants and bars to the overall guest experience fit perfectly into the brand’s distinctive design and breadth and style of service.”

Messrs. Titiwat Kuvjitsuwan and Soravit Chairoj, Executive Directors of Choengmon Real Estate

Kimpton was introduced into Asia when IHG signed three management contracts four years ago with Kimpton Bali, Kimpton Shanghai Jing’an, Kimpton Resort Sanya Haitang Bay. This signing is part of Kimpton brand’s continued momentum into new urban markets and resort destinations across Asia, following Kimpton Da An in Taipei, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok in Thailand and Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo in Japan. With upcoming openings across Asia in Bali, Suzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nanjing, Sanya and Kuala Lumpur, the brand will also expand in Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands.
