Airlines Amenity Kits Flying

[Flying] Hong Kong Airlines Refreshes Amenity Kit in July 2019

Hong Kong Airlines has introduced 4 new amenity kit designs with Spiriant, a member of the airline catering and in-flight services management LSG Group in July 2019. A new design will be introduced each quarter.

The first time we covered Hong Kong Airlines’ amenity kit was in 2017 when I flew on the inaugural flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It was a less colourful amenity kit with a black sketch of all things Hong Kong.

This year four colourful amenity kits for Business Class are rotated on a quarterly basis showcasing creative Hong Kong culture. Rising young artists Lock Lai, founder of local TinBot toy company; illustrator Jane Lee; font creator Lee Kin Ming and tattoo artist Lily Cash have been commissioned to design each kit.

superTRAVELme.com received the amenity kit by Lock Lai that features a special collection of toy designs created by TinBot featuring Hong Kong Airlines pilot, flight attendant and the latest Airbus A350 aircraft.

TinBot was founded in 2013, and the homegrown toy brand has been creating unique collections of magnetic action-puzzle figures inspired by iconic elements of Hong Kong.

The contents of the kit are similar to the airline’s 2018 Amenity kits including a 4ml lip balm and 10ml hand cream from L’occitane which is ostensibly the most popular amenity brand amongst airlines, hotels and cruises. Other contents include the usual 3M earplugs with eyeshades and socks that feature TinBot motifs. A toothbrush and Maximum Zahn Pasta White Toothpaste are also provided in the kit.

Hong Kong Airlines also produced gorgeous baggage tags featuring the designs from the matching amenity kits.
