The Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore Airport Changi Airport will be getting its own restrooms and showers, something that has been lacking in the KrisFlyer Gold Lounges in Terminal 2 and 3. The lounge will also double in capacity and include dedicated working spaces, as well as larger al fresco seating and dining areas. This is good news for Star Alliance Gold members as well as Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Gold customers.

This is part of the airline’s S$50 million upgrade of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold Lounges to increase its spaces and total customer capacity by 30% in Terminal 3. Renovations are expected to commence in August 2019 and should complete by mid 2021.

The construction process will be carried out over four phases. The lounges will be progressively renovated in sections starting with the Business Class Lounge followed by the First Class Lounge and The Private Room. The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will be renovated in the last stage. Temporary lounges will be available to customers affected by renovation works to reduce disruption during this period.

Customers can expect more open spaces, upgraded facilities and a wide array of F&B selections. Hirsch Bedner Associates will undertake the design of the lounges.

Suites & First Class customers will get a brand new The Private Room and First Class Lounge. The First Class Lounge will continue to feature a flagship bar, and The Private Room will offer a full-service dining section within the lounge.

The new Business Class Lounge will have a full service bar that doubles as a self service breakfast station in the mornings. Productivity pods will offer customers a discreet corner to catch up on work. A rest area featuring chaise lounges will allow customers to get some shut eye before their flight.
