Why People Keep Coming Back to the Conrad Centennial Singapore

I always wondered why people enjoy returning to the 31-storey Conrad Centennial Singapore whenever they visit Singapore. In my travels, I have come across a couple of other travellers who have mentioned that they always stay at the Conrad Centennial Singapore whenever they are here. It is always about the people working at the Conrad Centennial Singapore that make guests feel like they have not left home, the moment they step into this five-star hotel. Also where else could you find hotel rooms with this much space. All the new hotels these days are so space constrained.

The hotel has not gotten a major refresh since it opened in 1996. And this year, the guest rooms are getting rejuvenated from June to January 2018. We are looking forward to checking out the new rooms when they are ready.

Keyless Lift and Room Access

The Hilton group’s Keyless initiative was introduced to the Conrad Centennial Singapore and Hilton Singapore only in 2016. It lets Hilton Honors members who have downloaded the Hilton mobile app on the iPhones or Android devices keyless access without the need of an actual key card which has been relegated to a spare key.

You can access the lift to the level where your room is located with your smartphone. It can also access your room easily. It couldn’t get any more secure than the security your smartphone offers such as phone lock.

Breakfast Spread at The Executive Lounge

The Executive lounge at Conrad Centennial Singapore has a very extensive buffet spread for breakfast. And somehow porridge always wins me over. I have to say it is quite an impressive start to the day. And of course, the view accompanying breakfast is absolutely breathtaking.

View from The Executive Lounge

The Executive Lounge located at level 31, the hotel’s highest floor offers spectacular views of the central business district skyline, Marina Bay and the fountain of wealth. It operates from 6.30 am to 11 pm daily. A buffet breakfast is offered every morning. Guests can also enjoy coffee, tea and soft drinks throughout the day or relax in the evening with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and canapés.

There are many different seating areas throughout the lounge area on the 31st floor and the view is stunning be it in the early morning, afternoon or during sunset. Executive floor guest rooms on the same floor makes it convenient for Executive guests who wish to visit the lounge.

Gin Hour at The Terrace

The Terrace is located on the ground floor just next to the Lobby Lounge. The outdoor area offers 50% off on signature Gin & Tonic or 1 for 1 cocktails in the evenings. Cakes and small bites are also available at the deli. The Gin Experience is available at S$22++ per glass but if you head down during happy hour from 5 to 7 pm, you can enjoy each glass at S$12++ per glass. Choose from 12 different types of gin, seven East Imperial Tonics, eight Fee Brothers Bitters and a variety of citrus, herbs and spices or fruits and vegetable garnishes.

Pool with a View at Conrad Centennial Singapore

Take a dip in the hot Singapore weather at the pool which overlooks the Singapore flyer and the surrounding buildings in the Marina Bay area. Come out in the early morning and you can enjoy a peaceful swim in a pool that could be all yours. Deck chairs are available for you to get yourself a nice little tan as you read a book.

Conrad Bath Amenities

Conrad Hotels and Resorts around the world offer guests a choice of different bath amenities. The standard set of amenities provided is from Aromatherapy Associates. Personally, it is one of my favourite bath amenities. They are rich in essential oils and botanical extracts.

But there are three other options to select from. If you have downloaded the Conrad app, you can order your other bath amenities via the app. I also understand that the Hilton mobile app has this added feature as well.

Tara Smith bath amenities are vegan. I like its tagline – “Tested on film stars, not on animals”. All Tara Smith products are fully vegan, free from any animal derived ingredients and are not tested on animals. The packaging is rather eye-catching spotting parakeets.

Shanghai Tang’s Mandarin Tea bath amenities are a tad bit too overpowering for me but a favourite for others. Well at least, you know that there’s this option available.

That’s easy for guys. All in one hair and body wash from Refinery, which is specialised in male grooming. The Refinery formulations are blended with the latest cutting-edge ingredients and essential oils to care for pre and post shave.

Teddies To Accompany You To Bed

Conrad Centennial Singapore produces a new limited edition teddy bear every year. They are left on your bed during turndown. These make great gifts for little ones at home. It’s the little things that make your stay here a memorable one.

Conrad Centennial Singapore is located at Two Temasek Boulevard, Singapore 038982.
