Today The Langham, Auckland has been rebranded to a Cordis. The 411-room hotel joins other Cordis hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Future hotels will be opening in destinations such as Bali, Phuket, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Ningbo, Donqian Lake.

“Cordis is not a homogenous brand. At Langham Hospitality Group, we want to bring a higher level of service from an upper upscale brand into the market. Each Cordis will be individual in style, architecture and design, all reflective of its location and culture, delivering heartfelt service that is devoted to the well-being of our guests, from corporate travelers, honeymooners to multi-generational families,” share Simon Manning, chief sales and marketing officer of Langham Hospitality Group.

The Cordis, Auckland will undergo a 100% renovation starting with the completed refurbishment of its function rooms and Eight restaurant. All the 411 guest rooms and suites and lobby will be refurbished by February 2018.

New facilities and services have been launched at the Cordis, Auckland. The Lobby Lounge will offer new Cordis High Tea and three special Cordis beers crafted by Auckland’s Ubernaut Brewery. Each Cordis beer is crafted to reflect the unique characteristics of Auckland, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The Shop offers a variety of New Zealand products from local artisan suppliers and makers. Guests can also purchase the signature Cordis Dream bed linens.

 

There will be new room types. The Superior and Deluxe rooms will now include a ‘Double-Double’ category featuring two double beds. Suites with kitchenettes will be introduced. Handy Smart Phones will be available to every guest to make free local calls, call the Concierge on the go, and access the internet or order room service before getting back to their rooms.

eZee electric bikes will be available for guests to book without any charge, to explore the city during their stay. They are equipped with a unique 19ah battery for longer rides between charges. A basket is attached so guests can store items that they may purchase during the ride.

Cordis Kids is a new programme for children under 12. Children will receive their own individual back pack complete with a dental kit, slippers, activity pack with a scavenger hunt element that will end in a sweet treat ice cream at the restaurants. Child-friendly room service menus as well as amenities for babies and toddlers are also available on request.
