JATI, a new laid-back private island resort owned and operated by HMD Asia, is slated to open in March 2025 in the island of Koh Russey, also known as Bamboo Island in Cambodia. JATI is located within a 450-hectare tropical forest.
Located just 10 minutes by speedboat from a private jetty and 10 minutes drive from Sihanoukville International Airport, the Maldives-style private island resort offers 82 Khmer-inspired one- and two-bedroom villas. Some of which have private pools situated directly on the beach.
”JATI offers our guests first-class experiences at reasonable rates and is designed for active couples and families, or for those wishing to simply relax under a tree or enjoy an array of pampering wellness treatments. Our inspired food and beverage experiences, and wide range of leisure and sports facilities are unmatched in the region. The service culture at JATI will reflect the natural warmth of the Cambodian people in a relaxed, unpretentious and friendly atmosphere.”
Anthony Lark, Executive Director of HMD Asia
JATI Koh Russey offers a wide range of recreational activities, including tennis and pickleball at the Racquet & Sports Club, as well as options for basketball, mini golf, badminton, and Thai boxing. Guests can also enjoy water-based adventures like paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling, or explore island trails on foot or by bike during tranquil morning or sunset strolls. For wellness and relaxation, the Bamboo Spa & Gym provides Khmer-inspired treatments, modern fitness equipment, an ice bath, steam room, and sauna for a rejuvenating experience.
Enjoy lively beach club and dining experiences after sunset – including branches of Phnom Penh’s cool wine bar Le Manolis and the capital’s most popular steakhouse KoKo. Sip, lounge and unwind under the shade of an ancient Banyan Tree and enjoy soft music and refreshing cocktails. Arun beach front cafe offers lazy breakfasts featuring Asian and Western specialities.
Kids also get to enjoy beach adventures and games at the Seahorse Kids Club so parents can enjoy guilt-free grown-up lounging. Baby-sitting services allow parents some pampering time.
HMD Asia also manages other properties in Cambodia, including Shinta Mani Hotels, TRIBE hotel in Phnom Penh, Park Hyatt Siem Reap, La Residence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang, Laos, La Residence D’Angkor in Siem Reap and several destination restaurants in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
