Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon Opens for Business

Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon, the first Hilton Garden Inn property in Singapore and the only international branded hotel in the precinct, has opened for business on 1 June 2017. The 328-room mid-scale hotel is located just off Serangoon Road and a 400m walk from Little India MRT station (Exit E is the nearest exit to the hotel). The hotel complex used to be the Grand Imperial Hotel Singapore before the full renovation and retrofit of the Hilton Garden Inn.

Of the 328 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon, there are 146 rooms including three accessible rooms, 72 Deluxe rooms, 24 Deluxe Corner Rooms on twin beds, 70 Deluxe City View Rooms, six Rooms with Sofa Bed and 10 Deluxe rooms with Balcony. Room size starts from 22 sqm and the space in the rooms are cleverly utilised. All rooms have at least four USB charging ports at the work desk and on each side of the bed.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a little tight with shower, sink and toilet. Hilton Garden Inn standard toiletries by Peter Thomas Roth are provided.

Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon – Room with Sofa Bed

Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon is in one of the two building blocks with 16 floors on the main building and connecting building on four levels. The yet to open five-storey tower features a tenanted restaurant on level one and four other levels housing 88 bedrooms.  This lower tower, which is accessible by a covered bridge on level four from the taller tower, is scheduled to open end July which also features the rooms with Sofa beds. These rooms offer a very close up view of Sri Veeramakaliamman Hindu Temple and its stunning Gopuram.

Street Art

This room offers a very priceless view of the neighbourhood. If you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon, you must as well enjoy the neighbourhood and bring home some local heritage experience or shop at the souvenir shops or the nearby 24-hour Mustafa department store.

The Room rates here average from S$200 to S$250.

Outdoor Pool at level eight with a fabulous city view

Guests here enjoy the convenience of Digital check-in and Digital Key with the Hilton Honors mobile app, while preselecting their room before checking-in. We also got the chance to try out Digital Check-In and Digital Key during our stay at Conrad Centennial Singapore last year.

The Garden Grille

The Garden Grille offers a-la-carte breakfast, a-la-carte dinner as well as evening room service from the same menu. The menu features starters and salads such as a S$12 Seafood Tom Yam Soup, S$14 Tandoori Chicken Tikka, S$19 Wok-fried King Prawns with green mango salad and lemon sauce. If you are in the mood for Pasta, you have a choice of Bolognese, Carbonara or Napoletana with pasta choices of spaghetti, penne or fettuccine with Parmesan cheese priced below S$14++. For mains, there is a choice of Grilled Norwegian Salmon (S$24), 220g Australian Sirloin Steak (S$32), Fish & Chips (S$16), Chicken Rice (S$14), Nasi Goreng à La Kampong (S$14), Singapore Laksa (S$14) amongst others. The Mobley Beef Burger which is named after Conrad Hilton’s first hotel served with dill pickles, red onions and cheese.

Lobby at Level 1

If you are feeling thirsty, enjoy a cocktail, wine, champagne, sparkling wine, beer of spirits. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available. A variety of wines is available by the bottle ranging from S$50 to S$70. Or get a glass of Reserve St Martin Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc at S$10 each.

The Pavilion Pantry located next to the check-in counters

The Pavilion Pantry is 24 hours offering a selection of snacks, beverages and ready-to-cook meals at expected hotel prices. You can either top up beer or other bottles of alcohol from a supermarket or convenience store before 10 pm. Singapore  Otherwise you’ll be paying S$13 for a can of Tiger beer which will be on sale 24 hours when consumed in the hotel. You can also get a slice of Hilton Singapore’s famous cheesecake here.

Fitness Centre

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the hotel premises. There is also an outdoor pool overlooking the city at level eight and a fitness centre at level one. We understand that a self-service coin laundry is in the works, but cannot confirm this. Dry cleaning and laundry services are also available.
